Associate Professor, Regent School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship
Dr. Corné Bekker joined Regent University in 2005 after previously serving as the associate dean for academics at Rhema Bible College in Johannesburg, South Africa. Bekker teaches in the doctoral programs of the School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship and is actively involved in research on the use of biblical hermeneutics and spirituality to explore leadership.
"It is my growing conviction that a clearer understanding of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures holds the promise of a resurgence of moral and values-based approaches to leadership today, " he says.
As an ordained minister, Bekker has traveled throughout Africa, Europe, the East and North America to present at churches, ministries, seminars and academic conferences on the subject of Christian spirituality and leadership formation.
He says, "Only when leadership is informed and fueled by the Word of God will we have the kind of Christian leadership that will change the world."
Bekker is currently completing a second doctorate (D.Th.) in Christian Spirituality.
