What is a Typical Schedule for an Online Student?

Designed with a structured, yet flexible format, our online degree programs allow you the freedom to fit your coursework around your schedule. Though there are scheduled deadlines, you get to decide when and where throughout the week you’ll access course materials and complete your assignments. Professors may offer weekly assessments to help you stay on pace. These assessments could be quizzes, questionnaires or other course-related work.

  • Online undergraduate degree classes are eight weeks.
  • Expect to spend 15-20 hours per week on a three-credit course. This includes online time, studying, writing papers and taking tests.
  • For graduate degrees, study time varies depending on each course and the total number of credit hours in which you are enrolled.
