| October 7, 2013
Regent University School of Business & Leadership's (SBL) Entrepreneurship MBA program has been ranked 7th in the nation by TheBestSchools.org, adding to its 2013 U.S. News & World Report rankings, which include: 1st (tied) in Online MBA Program Faculty Credentials & Training; 12th in Best Online Graduate Business programs for veterans; and 75th in Best Online Graduate Business programs. Regent is a leader in online education, as U.S. News & World Report also ranks the university's online bachelor's programs in the nation's top 10.
"Our MBA degree program fosters entrepreneurial passion," explained Dr. Doris Gomez, interim dean of SBL. "Our curricular approach delivers the new leadership and managerial autonomy capabilities that companies need to possess to be competitive in the world's hyper-dynamic economy."
TheBestSchools.org report considered academic excellence; strong core curricula; creative approaches; program diversity; program options offered; and retention, completion, and employment rates. They also considered student satisfaction, cost of programs, financial assistance, the school's prominence, and professional associations with corporations and businesses.
While entrepreneurship used to mean establishing a new company, Regent's MBA faculty see it as a skill set applicable for any company's growth and development.
"An entrepreneurship MBA is equally valuable to business owners and managers at established companies who want to operate with an entrepreneurial model," explained Dr. Greg Stone, MBA program director. "Regent's Entrepreneurship MBA encompasses innovative approaches to problem solving, awareness of the global economy, founding new business ventures, and the growing need for ethical decision making."
The MBA program is accredited by the highly selective Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP) and provides rigorous curriculum and instruction in both its on-campus and online MBA programs.
