Regent Recognized as Great College to Work For®
| July 26, 2013
For the fifth time, Regent University has been recognized by the Chronicle of Higher Education as a Great College to Work For®. The designation comes as a result of input from Regent faculty and staff who responded to a survey conducted earlier this year, as well as information submitted by Regent's Human Resources Department.
"Regent is certainly a great place to work, and our faculty and staff often share with me how privileged they feel to serve our students," said Regent president, Dr. Carlos Campo. "We appreciate the positive responses from our faculty and staff members, and we are grateful that so many of our employees took time to participate in this voluntary survey."
Regent was one of 97 colleges recognized in the 2013 survey. Results of the survey were released online July 22 and will be published in the Chronicle's "Academic Workplace" special report July 26. This is the fifth time Regent has been recognized since the Chronicle began the program six years ago.
The Great Colleges to Work For® program recognizes institutions for best practices and policies in 12 categories. The survey results are based on responses from nearly 45,000 administrators, faculty members and staff members at 300 institutions. Four-year colleges and universities accounted for 227 of the institutions, and two-year colleges for 73.
