New Degree Blends Business and Ministry

People with a mind for business and a heart for ministry will find a new degree designed to prepare them for life-long leadership and service. Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) has introduced a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree that prepares students for career opportunities to lead in both non-profit and for-profit organizations.

The new B.S. in Christian Leadership & Management blends business and ministry concepts to equip students with business skills and show them how to apply biblical principles in workplace settings. The new online program emphasizes finance, intentional leadership, strategic planning and biblical theology.

“The new degree is supported by Regent’s proven reputation as a premier leadership-focused Christian university,” said Dr. Joseph Bucci, chairman of the CAS academic department of business, leadership and management ” Whether you’re called to a combination of business and ministry or desire to expand upon a purely biblical studies program, this degree will help you integrate your faith with business skills in a variety of settings.”

The program covers budget development, recruiting and hiring, and managing employees and volunteers. Students examine areas of the Bible that apply to leadership and ministry to others. The degree prepares students for careers, including executive pastors, ministry entrepreneurs, not-for-profit or for-profit operations directors, missions, social services professionals or communications specialists.

The degree program requires 120 credit hours. This includes 42 Christian Leadership & Management credits. The program is offered entirely online through CAS.
