IRR Course Registration
The Information Research and Resources (IRR) course is a required course of all entering Regent University graduate students (with the exception of Law students). The IRR course instructs students on how to develop an effective search strategy, to locate information using the library's online resources, and to carefully evaluate and cite sources. The skills learned in this course will provide students with the foundation for conducting research throughout their educational and professional career.
The course is presented online using Regent University's Blackboard course delivery software, and is self-directed and self-paced. There is a $50 registration fee for the IRR course, which is non-credit and graded pass/non-pass.
The course should be taken during a student's first year and completed within one semester. NOTE: If the course is not completed by the end of the semester, students will receive an "NP" non-passing grade and will be required to re-register and complete the course prior to graduation.

Option #1: Web register for the course using Genisys using the CRN numbers below (listed under Course Schedule). Please allow a few days for your registration to be processed and for this class to appear in your course schedule in Genisys and Blackboard. A $50 fee will be automatically assessed upon registration.
Option #2: Register for the course through your program's academic advisor. Please allow a few days for your registration to be processed and for this class to appear in your course schedule in Genisys and Blackboard. A $50 fee will be automatically assessed upon registration.
During or after the Drop/Add Period: During the Drop/Add Period, you will need to submit a drop/add form to your academic advisor to register for the IRR course, and pay the $50 fee to the Business Office. Once the Drop/Add period ends (after the second week of the semester), this drop/add form will also require the approval of the dean of your school. Starting the Course
When you are registered and ready to start the course, you will need to log into Blackboard using your RegentID and password.
At the main screen for Blackboard, you should see the My Courses list. Follow the link titled "UNIV LIB Lib Info Research & Resources" to enter the IRR course.
