Downloading Plug-Ins

Plug-in applications are programs that can easily be installed and used as part of your Web browser. A plug-in application is recognized automatically by the browser and its function is integrated into the web page that is being presented.

Among popular plug-ins to download are Adobe Acrobat, a document presentation and navigation program that lets you view documents just as they look in the print medium, Real Network's streaming video player, and Adobe Shockwave Flash, an interactive animation and sound player.

You may prefer to wait until you need a particular plug-in before you download it, but you also might want to download them now.

Below we've provided a list of plug-ins that Regent students typically need for their online studies and web-surfing.

  • Go to the Adobe page at the link. Remove the checkmarks from the optional software presented (you don't need them to use the Adobe plugin).
