VISITING NORTHERN VIRGINIA/D.C. LIBRARIES

        Regent University Library has a book collection of over 250,000 volumes, 691,000 microforms, and over 1,400 current periodicals.  Most of the materials, books and journal articles you will need for your coursework will be available through Regent University Library.  Use the Book Request Form and Journal Article Request Form located on the Library Access Services homepage at:  http://www.regent.edu/general/library/services/ILL/home.cfm.

        To supplement your resources, explore the libraries in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area listed here.  Many have websites which are noted in the listing below.  Many of these libraries allow you to search their catalogs and investigate borrowers' privileges on their websites.  In some cases, such as the Library of Congress, checking out materials is not an option.  You will need to do your research at the library.  At the start of a visit to any library, inquire at the Circulation Desk as to whether a courtesy or guest card is available for purchase.  Remember, the primary mission of university, college, and seminary libraries is to serve the students, faculty, and staff of their parent institution.  You are a guest.
