LOCATING INDUSTRY OVERVIEW

The following print resources in the reference area can get
you started on this process:

U.S. Industry & Trade Outlook (Ref HC101.U54 1998) provides an overview of industries with prospective growth.
Panorama of EC Industry (Ref HC241.2.P3) gives an overview of industries in the European Community.
Manufacturing USA (Ref HD9721.M364) and Service Industries USA (Ref HD9981.3.S47) provide analysis and leading companies.
Handbook of North American Industry (Ref HF1746.H37) covers industry analysis for United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Value Line Investment Survey (Ref HG 4501.V26) provides introductory analysis for specific industries.

Factiva    A Dow Jones database. Provides in-depth news coverage, journal articles, and company profiles, including financial information. Can also do company/industry comparison reports.  How to use Factiva

Standard and Poors Company reports, bond ratings, industry trends, executive biographies from 11 S & P financial/business databases.  This is one of the most important databases for business research on companies and industries.  Use this database to find information on companies, especially financial reports.  Use Industry Surveys for overviews of industry.  Use for information on stocks and bonds.  Tips for Searching Standard and Poor's

Search "Manufacturing and Industry" for information and
statistics.
