Off campus student's are encouraged to use the Regent University Library as their first choice in obtaining library materials and reference services. Please refer to the Library Reference page for the phone number and e-mail of the reference desk.
Consult the Interlibrary Loan page in order to request books and articles. This page will provide information on the time it takes to receive articles and books from Regent University Library.
Regent University students may obtain a library card in their local area and be reimbursed for one card per academic year [July 1 to June 30] and will only be reimbursed to $100.00 per year.
It is the students responsibility to contact the college or university library where they would like a library card and to obtain the following information:
How long is the card is valid?
Borrowing privileges that the card provides?
How many books may be borrowed?
Students should make sure the library's holdings are relevant to their course of study.
Contacting several college or university libraries enables the student to make an informed decision regarding the purchase of the one card per academic year to assist in their academic studies.
Please note that even though the library reimburses students for a local library card Regent University Library should continue to be the first point of contact for library services and materials.
Before purchasing a local library card, please contact Marta Lee, Liaison to the Washington DC Campus, by e-mail or by phone at 757-226-4174. Marta Lee will provide information on the dollar amount that the library will reimburse the student for a local library card. When contacting Marta Lee please know the cost of the library card that is desired.
Once the card has been purchased, please copy the receipt provided. Fill out the request form and send it back, along with the copied receipt, to the address on the form. Regent University Library will not pay for the card prior to purchase or contact the library for you.
