Copyright Guidelines for Access Services

Each calendar year, Regent University Library may make five requests from a periodical title going back five years. In the current year 1999, we may request 5 times from the volumes including 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995 and 1994 (60 months). Section 108 (g)(2). Copyright royalties must be paid for each filled request over and above five.

Copyright royalties must also be paid if an individual patron requests more than one article from a single periodical issue published within the previous 60 months. Section 108 (d).

Distance Education Photocopying Guidelines

Regent University Library has elected to follow the above guidelines when copying from journals in our own collection for the use of non-local Distance Education students. In addition, Fair Use guidelines (Section 107) limiting photocopying to no more than one chapter or 10% of a book will be followed.
