It is the recommendation of Regent University Library that faculty use hyperlinks to database articles from Blackboard, rather than uploading copies of the articles into Blackboard.

Although Blackboard permits course-level authentication, a violation of fair use would occur if a professor 'recycled' his or her course in subsequent semesters, including an embedded PDF.  This would be akin to publishing a coursepack multiple semesters without seeking copyright clearance.
