WHO WE ARE

Special Collections & Archives collects, preserves, and makes available materials relating to Regent University history and culture and other resources of interest to the Regent University community.

The Archives is a repository for official papers and publications of Regent University, including materials produced by Regent faculty and students, e.g., theses, portfolios, dissertations, and student-produced films. The Archives also houses some papers and memorabilia pertaining to the ministry and political activities of Dr. M. G. "Pat" Robertson.

Special Collections include the Clark Hymnology Collection, the Film Research Collection, the Pentecostal/Charismatic Research Collection, the C. O. Baptista Film Collection & Archive, and the Scott Ross Cultural Collection.

Limited research services are provided to qualified scholars. Researchers should contact the Regent University Library in advance to confirm that their area of interest is available in the collections.

The orderly growth and development of the university Special Collections & Archives is dependent upon the interest, support and generosity of patrons and friends of the library. Gifts of appropriate materials in a variety of formats and subject areas are welcome and encouraged. Subjects of particular interest include early films, film history and research, hymnals and Psalmody, Pentecostal and Charismatic history, and Christian cartooning.

Guided tours may be arranged in advance. Selected materials, such as important papers, artwork, books and memorabilia from the Special Collections & Archives are displayed in the Lehman-Kiewitt Reading Room on the second floor or the library building. From the main library lobby, take the stairs to the right, through the double doors. The Reading Room is open Monday through Friday, 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. and 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and by appointment.

Please contact the Special Collections & Archives supervisor for information about tours, research, and donating materials to the collections.
