General Resources: General resources in print are located on the first and second floors of the library and are circulating. Electronic general resources are accessible by computer through the University Library home page. 

General Reference Resources: General reference resources in print are located on the first floor and are non-circulating. They include the latest resources in the subject areas of the academic programs offered by Regent University. Ready Reference resources are located in the reference desk area and serve to answer the most frequently asked reference questions. Electronic general reference and ready reference resources are accessible by computer through the University Library home page. 

Career Resources: Career resources in print are located in the Reference area. They include a non-circulating career reference collection and a selection of career resources that circulate. Electronic career resources are accessible by computer through the University Library home page. 

Electronic Indexes and Databases: The Library maintains a selection of electronic indexes and databases which are available by computer, especially the computers in the reference area. 

Periodicals and Newspapers: Periodicals in print are located on the first floor of the library, beyond the Reference area. Current issues are shelved in alphabetical order followed by the bound volumes. Periodical resources are non-circulating. Electronic full-text periodicals are accessible by computer through the University Library home page. The University Library maintains a selection of local, national and international newspapers in print. Current issues are on display in the newspaper reading area. Three months of newspaper back issues are shelved in the current periodical area. Backfiles for some newspapers, such as The New York Times, USA Today and Washington Post are available on microform. Newspapers in electronic format are accessible by computer through the University Library home page. 

Abstracts and Indexes: Abstracts and indexes in print are shelved alphabetically in the Abstract and Index area. Electronic abstracts and indexes are accessible by computer through the University Library home page. 

Microforms: Microform resources, located on the second floor in the Microforms Room, include journal and newspaper backfiles and a number of special microform sets such as: The Library of American Civilization, ERIC documents, Evans' Early American Imprints and the Kraus Curriculum Development Library. Microform viewing and printing equipment is available in the Microforms Room. 

Audiovisual Resources: Audiovisual resources serve the academic programs of Regent University and are located in the Audiovisual Room on the second floor of the library. 

Curriculum Resources: Curriculum resources are located on the second floor and serve the special curricular needs of Regent University's academic programs, especially the School of Education. Curriculum resources include a small non-circulating reference collection and instructional materials such as K-12 textbooks, children and young adult's literature, teaching kits, pictures, and charts. These items are classified and shelved according to the Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress classification schemes. 

Special Collections, Archives, and Film Research Center: Special Collections, located on the second floor of the library, include the University Archives, a CBN information file, the Clark Hymnology Collection of some 9,000 volumes, and the Film Research Center. A beautifully appointed reading room with special displays is available for researchers at designated times. The Archives of Regent University includes official papers and publications of the University, as well as materials published and produced by the University's faculty and students. These include student theses, portfolios, dissertations, and student-produced films. Also included in Archives is a small collection of archival materials dealing with CBN ministries. More information can be found at Special Collections. The Film Research Center is located on the fourth floor, and is only available by appointment. It contains several distinctive collections of 16 mm films including animation, documentaries, Christian, classic, silent and feature films. Some items are also in videocassette format. A printed listing of holdings for the Film Research Center is available at the Circulation Desk and Reference Desk.

Theses, Dissertations and PortfolioAll Regent University student theses and dissertations are cataloged and shelved in the General Collection with the call number LD 865.  The Library's role in the processing of students theses or dissertations is to facilitate a binding service, collect and distribute bound copies for various offices on campus, and send the manuscript to UMI for listing and copyright registration.  The Dissertation and Thesis Processing Information sheet provides a guideline for processing and the Dissertation/Thesis/Portfolio Charge sheet lists the pricing information.  Students can contact the Circulation Desk with questions pertaining to Dissertations or Theses.
