Regent University Clash of the Titans

About the Debate

On Friday, October 30, 2009 Regent University will host its seventh dynamic Clash of the Titans® Debate. In past years, this event has featured leading experts, such as Al Gore, Bob Dole, Bill O'Reilly, Mike Huckabee, Geraldine Ferraro, Alan Colmes, Steve Forbes, Hon. Newt Gingrich, Lt. Col. Oliver North, and Ehud Barak. These political heavyweights have debated such controversial issues as the war in Iraq, presidential elections, and peace in the Middle East.

Within the first year of the Obama administration, many Americans feel that capitalism is under attack while others support a dramatic increase in government control of the economy.

Howard Dean and Arianna Huffington on the left will combat John Kasich and Dick Armey on the right for an answer to the question on the minds of Americans in every political spectrum: "America's Future: Can Capitalism Survive?" The debate will be moderated by MSNBC's Joe Scarborough.
