Professor Folsom will be speaking about the U.S. Supreme Court case CLS Bank Int'l v. Alice Corp. Pty. Ltd., and whether claims to computer-implemented inventions, including claims to systems (and machines, processes, compositions of matter, and articles of manufacture that are machine-aided or compromise "business methods"), are directed to patent-eligible subject matter within the meaning of 35 U.S.C. § 101.
