Armed Forces Day Celebration

Saturday, May 18, 2013
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

In honor of Armed Forces Day 2013, Regent University is hosting the U.S. Army TRADOC Band for a free concert of patriotic and Americana music. The program will feature great American music, such as John Philip Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever, Here's to the Heroes, and Samuel Hazo's Olympiada — this last written to capture the human conditions of intense glory and pain that only the Olympic Games can inspire.

The U.S. Army TRADOC Band is led by Major Leo Peña and is based at nearby Joint Base Langley-Eustis. The concert will honor military personnel and veterans in attendance; it is free and open to the public. Seating is limited; free tickets will be available after April 1 from the Regent University Box Office.
