Assistant Professor, Science, Technology, and Mathematics
After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Science Education, Dr. Patricia Lutz married and raised five children. With her love for education, she home schooled her young children for 11 years. After watching The 700 Club and reading Dr. M. G. “Pat” Robertson’s book Shout It from the Housetops, her family packed up their then two small children and moved to Virginia Beach, so Lutz’s husband could attend CBN University.
Lutz taught Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physics, AP Physics and math at Atlantic Shores Christian School for 13 years. While she loved both her school and students, Lutz felt called to obtain her doctoral degree in chemistry from Old Dominion University. At ODU, she also taught Chemistry.
Lutz has been a member of Harvest Assembly of God for over 30 years and has taught Missionettes, Sunday school and worked in the nursery. The highlight of her summer is Vacation Bible School week. Her favorite hobby is playing with her 10 grandchildren who all live in the Tidewater area.
