Bio

Dr. Cheryl A. Gould has served as the director of student teaching and assistant professor in the College of Arts & Sciences’ Teacher Education department since 2014. She first served Regent University in 2006 as director of student services, and later as associate campus director at Regent’s previous Washington, D.C. campus.


While in the public school sector, Gould supervised 55 teachers across Henrico County, Virginia, from 2008 to 2012. She provided leadership in all facets of curriculum, instruction, assessment and acquisition of resources to ensure quality instruction of nearly 7,000 students enrolled annually in Family and Consumer Sciences programs. From 1995 to 2005, she served as a secondary classroom teacher.


At Regent, Gould serves on several committees, including the Curriculum and Instruction Review Committee, Discipline Curriculum Committee, Student Conduct Committee, and the Accreditation and Accountability Committee. 


Gould teaches courses on curriculum and assessment, educational technology, child and adolescent development, wellness in childcare programs, as well as all courses related to student-teaching field experiences. Her passion is equipping teacher-leaders with the professional and spiritual tools to meet the challenges currently facing students and schools.
