Dr. Jeffrey Hayman and his wife attended college in each other’s home towns in Maryland and were married in his college chapel by his uncle, a Lutheran minister. Over a 20-year Army career, they moved many times and to many different locations all over the world. This gave them a great appreciation for how truly blessed this great nation is. The Army is truly the “liberal arts school of the armed services” ... you can do anything there. During his service, he was at different times, a helicopter pilot, commander, paratrooper, computer geek, instructor, investigator, motion picture military advisor, and student. Upon his military retirement Dr. Hayman served in various positions teaching information assurance and cybersecurity practices and certification to government, industry, and academia.
Hayman and his wife are members of a small Lutheran Church in Kilmarnock, Virginia (Go Team Jello!). They live in the country right next door to his parents and still go to their house each Sunday for family dinners. They have been blessed with a series of dogs throughout their lives and spend their free time hiking and exploring with them. In January 2016, he accepted a position at Regent University with the task of helping establish a graduate program in Cybersecurity. He is grateful each and every day for what the Lord has provided, and am deeply humbled and thankful to be part of the Regent team.
