Regent Commons Rental Information
Leases at Regent Commons are provided on a semester basis. Fall: August 1-December 31, Spring: January 1-May 31, Summer: June 1-July 31. Beginning fall 2009, the Undergrad lease year is defined as August 22-May 4. The lease automatically rolls over unless a notice to vacate is submitted by the appropriate date.
A $350.00 security deposit is required. This fee is due within five days after accepting an apartment. The security deposit is non-refundable if you accept an apartment and then decide not to occupy the assigned apartment. The fee is refundable upon vacating the premises if: (1) no rent is owed, (2) there are no charges for physical damage to the property and (3) no cleaning or disposal fees have been applied to the account.
Rent is due the first day of the month and is considered late after the fifth of the month and will be subject to a late fee. If you opt to take student loans to cover housing, the entire semester is paid from your loan at the beginning of the semester.
