Regent Ring
Regent Ring
Dear Fellow Regent,
From your first step toward obtaining your degree until your
successful completion, your time at Regent University has been filled
with special moments that will all too soon become distant memories.
As an enduring reminder of your growth and achievement, we
are excited to announce The Regent Ring. Just as our University name describes,
a regent is one who represents a king in his absence; one who represents
Christ, the Sovereign King.
Historically, a ring was an object of constant regard engraved
with the owner's name or indentification. It was typically used to impress
a clay or wax seal, denoting the authority and identity of its owner. Designed
by a group of Regent University students, alumni and administrators, the
emblem on The Regent Ring is reversed to symbolize this tradition.
The Regent Ring is reserved exclusively for individuals who
have successfully met the University's standards for graduation.
As a symbol of the strong tradition and heritage of our school, it is instantly
recognizable - a continuous, tangible link to fellow and future graduates.
Let The Regent Ring represent the purpose behind your academic
preparation and your commission as a Christian leader to change the world.
May God bless you richly in your future endeavors.
Sincerely,

Kimberly M. Thomas - Class of 2003
