Alumni Referral Grant Requirements
All grant recipients must meet the following requirements:
- Grant recipient must submit a completed admissions packet, pay the application fee, meet all Regent admissions criteria, and be regularly admitted as a degree seeking student by stated admissions deadlines.
- Grant recipient is responsible for all fees associated with attending school. These fees include, but are not limited to, the non-refundable application fee, semester student fees, graduation fees, student insurance, enrollment deposits, textbooks and academic supplies, and housing costs.
- Alumni Referral Grant program is for new students only. Current students are not eligible for this offer.
- Alumni Referral Grant is subject to change.
The Undergraduate Alumni Referral Grant is based on the number of credits the grant recipient enrolls in each semester.*
- The Undergraduate Alumni Referral Grant may be applied to all Regent's undergraduate majors.
- To receive the maximum award amount of $500 per semester, grant recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester, Fall and Spring.
- Grant recipients enrolling in less than 12 credit hours will receive a pro-rated grant amount contingent upon the number of credits enrolled. For instance, a grant recipient enrolling in 12 credits each semester * would receive $500 each semester; whereas, a grant recipient enrolling in 6 credits each semester* would receive $250 each semester*.
- Grant monies can only be applied toward tuition. While scholarships awardees are eligible to participate in federal, state, and other private funding aid programs, scholarship recipients are NOT eligible for other internal Regent based financial aid, grants, awards, discounts, or scholarships.
- Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.0 at Regent University each semester*.
- Recipients must maintain continuous enrollment in Fall and Spring terms. Continuous enrollment is defined as a minimum of 6 credit hours in Fall and Spring. Summers are excluded. The grant may be applied to summer courses however summer enrollment is not a maintenance requirement.
* The School of Undergraduate Studies semesters are 16 weeks in length and are our online classes are divided into two unique 8 week sessions. While financial aid is based on the 16 week term, students are given the option as to how many courses they chose to take each 8 weeks. Most full-time online students take two classes each session for a total of four classes per semester.
The Graduate Alumni Referral Grant is a one-time award of $500 for enrollment (6 credit hours or more) and will be applied to the first semester of enrollment.
- Grant recipients must be enrolled in a master's or doctoral degree program in one of Regent's seven graduate schools (Communication & the Arts, Divinity, Education, Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship, Government, Law, or Psychology & Counseling.)
- Grant monies can only be applied toward tuition.
- Grant recipients are also eligible for other internal Regent based financial aid, grants, awards, discounts, or scholarships.
