Yasmine Farley graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor's in English and received her Master's degree in Adult Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. At present she is pursuing her doctorate in Higher Education from Old Dominion University. Serving as an important member within the Career Services team, Yasmine is dedicated to helping students navigate their way to successful career development.

As a scholar and an educator, Yasmine realizes the importance of proper education and wants to share her experiences and encounters with others. Her objective is to help students avoid some of the pitfalls of her own journey and "gain the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their career goals."

"I've come to realize that there are two main reasons I have experienced bumps in the road when it comes to my career and educational goals: lack of knowledge and fear. Whenever I do not know something or I am scared to move forward on the path that God has laid for me, I often think of the first part of Hosea 4:6 which states 'my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge...' and 2 Timothy 1:7 which states 'for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' I know that if I am walking the path that He has chosen for me, then I should not be fearful because God is with me, but that I also have to be smart and obtain the knowledge needed to step into my potential."
