Service & Outreach

Journey Out is the service oriented branch of Campus Ministries. We aim to get the student body at Regent University involved in serving the local community. In an effort to do this we partner with local organizations that are in need of volunteer services. We want to impact the Hampton Roads area with the love of Christ. It is our goal at Campus Ministries for students at Regent to become active in building up the local community. There are two ways in which students can get involved with strengthening the local area around Regent University; Regent Serves and Good Fridays. With the hope to train up our students to be servants of Christ so that they can be servant leaders who go out and change the world.

Once a month Journey Out hosts a large scale initiative called Regent Serves. In the past, we have partnered with Invisible Children, Voice of the Martyrs, Fear 2 Freedom, and many other national ministries. Weekly, we have our Good Friday events where we volunteer with a ministry in the area.

We also aim to connect students outside of our own events with local ministries. Two such ministries are New Life Christian Center with their Storehouse food distribution center and Union Mission Homeless Ministries. Email ministry@regent.edu for more information on how to get involved.
