The second Quarterly Faculty/Staff Meeting of 2008 was held on Monday, May 5 th at 3:00 p.m. in the Robertson Hall Moot Courtroom. After an entertaining skit by the Awards for Excellence Committee, several awards and certificates were presented to Regent employees.

In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week May 4 - 10, Dr. Kathleen Patterson, School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship, recounted a story about her 3rd grade teacher who made a significant impact on her life. An essay contest was held prior to the meeting to pay tribute to teachers who have made a significant difference in the lives of our faculty and staff. The top prize went to Brook Chalfant, Assistant Copywriter, University Marketing, whose story was read aloud. The two runners-up were Dr. Michael Palmer, Dean of the School of Divinity, and Mark Gatlin, Assistant Professor, School of Undergraduate Studies. The Spring 2008 Faculty Excellence Award was presented to Michael Hernandez, Professor of Law.

Before reporting to the campus on the spring Board of Trustees meeting, Regent University President and Chancellor Dr. M.G. "Pat" Robertson answered some "Bring It On" questions from faculty and staff.
