Our first Quarterly Faculty/Staff "Brown Bag" lunch of 2008 was a great success. Congratulations to Ben Hamrick, Joyce Jenkins and Marjorie "Jo" Joynes (pictured above) who won our contest for the best dressed for island cruising. Congratulations to Ben Hamrick and Matt Gordley who won a gift certificate for the Ordinary for reciting the Regent University Mission Statement.

Our humble, heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robertson for the gift of his new book "The Greatest Virtue." We have a copy for each regular staff or faculty member and if you were not able to obtain your book at the lunch, you may pick up your copy at Human Resources (ADM-111). Books will be available until February 28th .

Christi Bowman, Events Producer for the Office of Advancement and University Relations, was honored as January's Employee of the Month. The Awards for Excellence Committee once again went over-the-top with their superb presentation of Clash of the Pixies. Blackboard & Online Instructional Design Certificates were presented to Amanda Becker, Rachel Blisson, Robert Fitkin, Marti Glass and Jennifer Mullen.

Alumni Relations will be celebrating Friends and Alumni Appreciation Month during the month of February to help to increase the awareness and appreciation among our students for our Regent donors. Their prize patrol will be out weekly during February and if they spot you wearing the an "I  Friends and Alumni" button, you may win gift cards and other prizes.

The name change of the Employee Emergency Assistance Fund, to the F.A.I.T.H. Fund (Financial Assistance In Times of Hardship) was announced. The F.A.I.T.H. Fund Committee gave a sincere presentation to raise awareness of our new F.A.I.T.H. Fund. Congratulations on a job well done!

Thank you again to all who participated in the program including the Vice Presidents, Chris Nelson, Coy Wood, Carl Thomas, and Roger Cheeks. I specifically want to acknowledge Jackie Murray and Laurie Ann Finn for contributing above and beyond with their innovation and tireless efforts in creating "Thankee" Island, Bonnie McDowell and  Jamie Brennan for their excelling diligence and incredible support and Brenda Robinson and Martha Smith for their abundant encouragement and guidance.
