Ambassadorial ScholarshipsType: Scholarship Award: Contact for more details Eligibility: This program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies. All applicants must be citizens of a country in which there are Rotary clubs, must have completed at least two years of college-level coursework or equivalent professional experience before commencing their scholarship studies.  Initial application must be made through a Rotary club in the applicant's legal or permanent residence or place of full-time study or employment. AmericorpsType: Fellowship Award: Full-time members receive an education award of $4,725 to pay for college, graduate school, or to pay back student loans. They also receive health insurance, training, and student loan deferment. About half of the members also receive a modest annual living allowance of about $9,300, along with health insurance. Members who serve part-time receive a partial education award. Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident age 17 or older. Business & Professional WomenType: Scholarship Award: Awards vary Eligibility: Be a female of at least 25 years of age by the date specified on their website. Be a US citizen or US national. Demonstrate critical financial need. Be officially accepted into an accredited program or certificate program at a US college or university, including  American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and plan to graduate or receive certification between December 1, 2006 and August 31, 2008. CDS International
Type: Fellowship/Internship Award: Participants will receive a €400 monthly stipend, dormitory housing and health insurance during the nine-month program. Eligibility: Applicant must be an American professional between the ages of 23-34. Candidates are competitively chosen from the fields of business administration, economics, journalism/mass communications, law, political science and public affairs/public policy. Chartway Federal Credit Union Scholarships – Type: Scholarship Award: Seven $1,500 awards Eligibility: Open to all current Chartway members with accounts in good standing who are graduating seniors or currently enrolled in college or graduate school. Families of Freedom Scholarship FundType: Scholarship Additional info: This program provides educational assistance for postsecondary study to financially needy children and spouses of those killed or permanently disabled as a direct result of the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01 in the U.S.A. and during the continuing rescue activities. The fund will benefit children and spouses of the victims, including airplane crews and passengers, World Trade Center and Pentagon employees and visitors, and relief workers including firefighters, police officers and emergency medical personnel. - Congregational Fellowships: for first year of a Master of Divinity students.
- Ministry Fellowships: for second year of a Master of Divinity students.

Harry S. Hattie M. Strong Foundation Student LoansType: Loan Award: Maximum $2500 Eligibility: Must be US citizen studying in the US or abroad, who is entering final year of course work in a baccalaureate or graduate degree program. Loans are made solely on the basis of individual merit, without regard to race, sex, or religion, are interest-free and do not require collateral. Applicants must be enrolled, as full-time students, in an accredited four-year college or graduate school. Must be living in the Washington DC area. Hazel Stone Memorial ScholarshipType: Scholarship Award: Contact for more details Eligibility: Program assists Jewish, Christian women interested in evangelism. Applicants must have committed their life to serving Jesus Christ, be committed to going to Bible college or seminary and must display a financial need in affording college costs. Jack Kent Cooke - Transfer Program
Type: Scholarship Award: up to $30,000 per year Eligibility: This program is for undergraduate students who transfer from a 2-year college or community college to a 4-year college. Lifetime Federal Tax Credit Type: Tax credit Award: 20% tax credit for first $5,000 of tuition and fees through 2002, and for the first 10,000 thereafter. Eligibility: Lifetime Learning Credit for College Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students and working Americans pursuing lifelong learning to upgrade their skills. For those beyond the first two years of college, or taking classes part-time to improve or upgrade their job skills, the family will receive a The credit is available for net tuition and fees (less grant aid) paid for post-secondary enrollment after June 30, 1998. The credit is available on a per-taxpayer (family) basis.  The credit is phased out for joint filers between $80,000 and $100,000 of income, and for single filers between $40,000 and $50,000 (indexed after 2001). Lilly Reintegration ScholarshipType: Scholarship Award: Amounts vary Eligibility: Applicant must be diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizophreniform disorder, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder. Must currently be receiving medical treatment, including medications and psychiatric follow-ups. Must be actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts, or school enrollment. NOTE: Correspondence and distance learning courses, online courses and non-credit courses are not covered under this scholarship. This scholarship is only available to U. S. citizens attending classes within the United States. Mensa Education & Research Foundation Scholarship ProgramType: Scholarship Award: Amounts may vary Eligibility: The MERF scholarship program awards are based totally on essays written by the applicants. There is no requirement for applicants to be members of Mensa nor is any consideration given to grades, academic program, or financial need. National Association of BroadcastersType: Grant Award: Up to $25,000 Eligibility: The competition is open to all academic personnel. National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. ScholarshipType: Scholarship Award: $1,000 Eligibility: This award is intended for those who are active members of any National Baptist Convention church. Student must be in their Junior or Senior year and the a2ward is based upon financial need. (Undergraduate) Type: Scholarship Award: $1,000 Eligibility: The program is implemented by the local chapter awards a scholarship to a qualified minority undergraduate student. National Federation of the BlindType: Scholarship Award: $3,000-$10,000. Nonprofit Sector Research Fund  Type: Scholarship Award: Academic credit Eligibility: The ideal candidate for this fellowship is a highly motivated continuing graduate or undergraduate student from an underrepresented community. She or he should have an excellent academic record and also have the following: Outstanding research skills; A background in the social sciences or humanities; Excellent writing and communication skills; Demonstrated financial need; and American citizenship. The student must be able to intern for 10-15 weeks at the Washington, DC, office of the Aspen Institute. We generally expect that Fall and Spring internships will be part-time (10-20 hours per week) and Summer internships will be full-time. All travel and housing costs must be covered by the student. Roothbert Fund, Inc.Type: Scholarship/Grant Award: $2,000-$3,000 Eligibility: Applicant must be a permanent resident of the following states as of March 1: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, or North Carolina. All applicants are eligible regardless of sex, age, color, nationality or religious background. While the Fund does not emphasize any particular form of religious practice or worship, it seeks to provide support to persons motivated by spiritual values. Deadline: February 1. Completed application forms must be postmarked no later than February 1 to be considered for the following year. Sallie Mae Fund Scholarships – Type: Scholarship Award: Awards vary upon program Eligibility: To be eligible for the Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship Programs, students must be accepted and enrolled at a Title IV eligible, accredited postsecondary two- or four-year college or university, vocational, or technical school in the United States or Puerto Rico and meet program-specific eligibility requirements. 
Below is a list of scholarship programs:
-Salle Mae Fund "First in My Family Scholarship Program":  This program is in partnership with the Hispanic College Fund. Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000 per Hispanic-American student.
-The Salle Mae Fund Unmet Need Scholarship Program:  This program is intended to help financial aid officers meet the needs of students whose financial aid packages fall short by $1,000 or more.  Open to families with a combined income of less than $30,000. 
-The Sallie Mae Fund American Dream Scholarship Program:  This program offers scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to African-American students with demonstrated financial need.
-The Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship Program:  The Fund provides scholarship renewals based on economic need for students with combined family incomes of $35,000 or less. Scholarships range from $500 to $2,000.
-The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund: The 911 Education Fund provides scholarship dollars to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled in the attacks.  This fund also provides grants, which enable spouses of those who were killed or deemed permanently disabled in the attacks to pay off their Sallie Mae education loans.

Soroptimist International Woman's Opportunity AwardType: Scholarship Award: Local award is $1500 with the possibility of a regional award ($3000 - $5000) Eligibility: Must be a female looking to enter or re-enter the job market or to further her skill and training to upgrade her employment status. Talbots Women's Scholarship FundType: Scholarship Award: $1000 to $10,000 Eligibility: All applicants must be seeking an undergraduate degree from an accredited two or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school and have at least 24 credit hours remaining to complete their degree. Must currently be a U.S. resident. Only applicants seeking a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university are eligible to receive a $10,000 award. USA Funds Access to Education Scholarship Program Type: Scholarship Award: Contact for more details Eligibility: Program is open to high school seniors or individuals who plan to enroll or are enrolled in full or half-time undergraduate or full-time graduate coursework at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational/technical school. Students must be enrolled through Feb. 1 of the upcoming year. Applicants must have an annual adjusted income of $35,000 or less, and be a U S citizen or eligible non-citizen.
