Financial Awareness Week: Feb. 4 - 8, 2008

Central Financial Aid will be hosting a series of workshops and other events to provide students with information regarding Personal Finances and Financial Aid. Financial Awareness Week will be held from February 4 - 8, 2008.

Some of the workshops will include:

  • Money, Your Personality, & Budgeting
  • Identity Theft
  • Your Credit Rating
  • Student Loan Repayment

Announcements: Now on Blackboard

The Central Financial Aid Office is now on Blackboard. To view announcements on your Blackboard homepage:

  • Log onto the MyRegent Portal.
  • Click on the Blackboard logo.
  • Select Modify Content button at the top right of your Blackboard homepage.
  • Check the Financial Aid News box.
  • Click Submit to save your changes.

Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship

The Sallie Mae Fund is pleased to invite students attending college in the fall to apply for scholarships. These scholarships will award for the 2008 - 2009 school year. This year, The Sallie Mae Fund will award more than $2 million to college-bound students across the nation. For applications, eligibility, and other information visit www.salliemaefund.org. The scholarships listed below are offered by the Sallie Mae Fund:

  • First in My Family Scholarship
  • Community College Transfer Scholarship
  • Writers of Passage Scholarship
  • Unmet Need Scholarship

KeyBank's $2,500 Scholarship Sweepstakes

Once a month from September 2007 to August 2008, three (3) students will win a $2,500 scholarship from KeyBank Scholarship Sweepstakes. Students may view the complete rules and enter at www.key.com/win.

USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships

USA Funds will award up to $3.2 million in new scholarships to students with economic need through the USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships. Applications will be accepted online until February 15, 2008.
