The William J. Dooner Scholarship
The Dooner Scholarship was established by Mr. William J. Dooner, a dedicated
Christian supporter of Regent University, who was affiliated with the Roman
Catholic Church. In order to assist those Regent University students with Roman
Catholic backgrounds in meeting the cost of their education, Mr. Dooner has
generously established this scholarship fund. Preference will be given to
students showing current affiliation with the Roman Catholic Church. Students
are required to submit a letter of recommendation from their current priest. The
scholarship is awarded on an academic basis for a maximum of 50 percent of tuition
costs. Students must reapply each academic year. Students receiving the Dooner Scholarship may also apply for other financial aid. Requires at least one letter of recommendation from your priest (no more than three letters of recommendation will be accepted).
