Today, the way we work, learn, and interact is greatly impacted by the way we use technology. Here at the Center for Teaching and Learning, we are creating fun, informative, and innovative courses to educate faculty regarding new ways to teach with technology, using sound pedagogy.
CTL's current and future courses include:
- Experiential Learning: examines digital storytelling, game-based learning, and virtual worlds,
- Podcasting: shows how to effectively use audio to supplement course content, and
- Wikis: help students collaborate online
Other courses such as Developing Your Teaching ePortfolio from Start to Finish and Content Analysis help faculty assess and update their course content and keep track of their career development. Got an idea for a new course? Want to see exactly what new courses are coming down the pipe? Then just contact CTL at ctl@regent.edu.

We asked Dr. Lyle Story how Wimba Live Classroom impacts his online courses. He reported that it:
- provides more personal interaction between participants
- allows for the sharing of PowerPoint presentations (both by the professor and by the students)
- provides a venue for students to translate sentences by typing directly into the program
- allows students to ask questions as they arise on a point-of-need basis
- provides deeper engagement in the online community
