What are continuing education units (CEUs)?

Continuing education units are a universal way to measure professional development hours. One CEU is considered the equivalent of 10 contact hours with an instructor.

How will this Certificate benefit me?

This certificate stands alone as a professional development credential. It may be used to demonstrate the number of training hours achieved in the area of ministry leadership.  

May I use this Certificate toward academic credit for a degree program?

A certificate of completion is for professional development and is eligible for continuing education units (CEUs). CEUs may not be transferred for academic credit toward a degree program.

What if I change my mind about taking a course or certificate?

Adding and Withdrawing from a Course:

The deadline for students to add/drop a course without penalty is prior to the first day of the start of the course. Students are to use the add/drop form available through a Professional and Continuing Education Program Manager. Please email pce@regent.edu to request the form. Student registration changes after the add/drop period are subject to the following:

Add a course within the first 3 business days from the start of the course

No penalty

Add a course within 4-5 business days from the start of the course

$35 fee

Drop a course within 5 business days from the start of the course

75% refund

Drop a course after 5 business days from the start of the course

No refund

*Students may not add a course after five business days from the start of the course.

Financial Aid Availability:

The only financial aid accepted at this time is through the military/GI Bill® and employer education and training reimbursements. Each course is structured at an affordable rate to make it more feasible to complete your certificate if paying monthly.

All course times are Eastern Time.
