Junior Engineering: (Rising First to Fourth Grades) Section Closed - Class Full

July 15-19, 2013
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Using unique LEGO® kits, students will creatively build and modify machines applying basic engineering principles. This is an integrated science and math class. Students will learn a variety of concepts and apply their acquired knowledge about gearing and gear ratios, simple machines, problem solving and communication skills throughout this class. This challenges students to incorporate the traits of an Engineer in a classroom setting and will include a Culmination Event at the end of class.

NOTE: Students will receive a special LEGO® kit to bring home at the conclusion of the camp.

Elementary Engineering: (Rising Fifth to Eighth Grades)

July 15-19, 2013
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Exploration of simple machines at an entry level are applied and discussed in depth. Provides great hands-on learning and building experiences. Students will creatively build and modify machines through basic engineering skills using our unique LEGO® kits and curriculum. Includes Rubberband Car Challenge (time permitting).

NOTE: Students will receive a special LEGO® kit to bring home at the conclusion of the camp.
