JOSE FERRER FILM FESTIVAL

Regent honors Hispanic actor/director, Jose Ferrer. Come learn about this amazing man and his accomplishments. The night begins with a discussion of Ferrer's career and its significance in the history of Latinos in U.S. film, theatre and TV. The discussion will be followed by a screening of Cyrano de Bergerac and a Q&A session.

This event is free and open to the public.

JOSE FERRER FILM FESTIVAL

Watch two award-winning films by Jose Ferrer. After a brief discussion, Regent will screen The Caine Mutiny at 2:30 p.m., and Moulin Rouge at 5:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., join President Campo for a conversation with Jose Ferrer's children.

BIENVENIDOS FIESTA

The Center for Latino Leadership hosts the 2nd Annual Bienvenidos Fiesta. Please join us for great food, games, dancing, musical performances, prizes and more. This will be a great opportunity for fellowship while learning more about the Latino culture.

This event is open to all Regent students, faculty and staff.

COOKING CLASS

Learn how to create authentic Argentinian Empanadas. We will be showing you how to make Empanadas for all pallets, including: meat, veggie and sweet. This will be a great time for fellowship and learning about Latino food. The $5 cost includes: a cooking demonstration, full meal with drinks and printed recipes.

This event is open to current students. You must RVSP by Sept. 17.

CHISPA MEDIA FESTIVAL

This festival showcases Hispanic-themed films and other media that highlight Hispanic culture while generating a chispa (spark) bringing social issues to the forefront and offering a redemptive message. A discussion will take place after each film.

This year we will be featuring The Perfect Game. The film is based on a true story and presents the events leading to the 1957 Little League World Series, won by the first team from outside the United States.
