Artist-in-Residence – Adlan Cruz
Adlan Cruz serves the Regent community as artist-in-residence in our International Center for Worship.
Cruz is one of the most celebrated pianists in the world today. He began playing the piano by ear at the age of three and released his first album in 1989. A graduate of the Hartt School in Connecticut and Oral Roberts University, his studies were financed with a scholarship given to him by former Puerto Rico governor, philanthropist and pianist Luis A. Ferré, whom he impressed early on with his talent.
Besides several other philanthropic initiatives, Cruz sponsors a private foundation to benefit the youth of Brazil. As part of his worldwide concert schedule over the years, in December 2000, he performed live before 3.4 million people in Lagos, Nigeria. His long list of accomplishments includes an appointment as director of music for Ron Kenoly.
Cruz has launched his 25th CD, which features a collection of worship songs.
