Start by reviewing each of the guidelines and forms listed to the right of this page. These items will help you develop your research in accordance with stated policies and receive IRB approval from the University.
Research proposals are classified in one of three categories for human research, each with different IRB requirements. Review the definitions below to determine the category for your project:
Exempt Review - negligible risk
Expedited Review - minimal risk
Full Committee Review - moderate to high risk; which requires continuing reviews
Remember, before initiating any research, you must have an IRB approval.
