When are online applications due?

New sessions start every eight weeks at Regent University. Applications are due three weeks prior to the start of each session. Your decision and enrollment deposit are due two weeks prior to the start of class.   Read more about specific information regarding application deadlines.

Are Regent’s online degree programs accredited?

Regent University is fully accredited for its online and on campus courses.  We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  See link.

How do I attend class online?

Online courses are available through Blackboard, Regent's web-based classroom. Students access Blackboard through a web browser, where they view course material, interact with faculty and students and submit assignments online. Regent's undergraduate courses do not require students to be online on specific days or at specific hours. Test Drive An Online Course for an example of the undergraduate online program.

Will there be an orientation for Blackboard usage for online students?

Regent has a Blackboard orientation at the beginning of each semester.  Regent University has tutorials for all software. 

What amount of time is needed for online classes?

Regent’s classes are 8 weeks long rather than the traditional 16 weeks.  Students, as a result, should expect to spend 15-20 hours per week on a 3-credit course.  This includes online time, studying, writing papers, and taking tests. 

Is the online program Synchronous or Asynchronous?

The online program is asynchronous.  There is not a set time for all students within a class to be online.

What will my diploma say if I complete an online degree?

Your diploma will say Bachelor of Science/Art in ______ (major).  Your degree is the same as any other college degree. 

Are online classes harder than on campus classes?

Online and on campus require the same amount of work.  There is no academic difference between online and on campus courses.  Both are rigorous and challenging. 

How do I order my books of I am an online student?

You can order your books online from Regent’s bookstore. 

Is tuition different for online students?

Can I really get my degree completely online?  Would I ever have to come to campus for anything?

If you are in one of our online degree programs you will never need to come to campus for anything unless you so desire (such as graduation).  Your degree can be completely obtained from your home. 

Can I take classes both online and on campus?

Yes, certainly.  You can mix and match your classes as much as you want.  Whatever works best for you and your schedule.
