The Next Steps

Once you have completed the application process, your application packet will be forwarded to the Department Chairs and/or Search Committee. Applicants whose skill sets fill the current program needs will be interviewed. Then you will be ready for the NEXT STEPS:

Step 1: Teaching Assignments

The Department Chair will contact you to discuss a teaching opportunity. Assignments are made after student registration has opened for the term. The Department Chair matches your skills with the classes being offered. Each class is contracted individually for adjunct positions. See Faculty Teaching Load. Compensation inquiries should be directed to Donna Curtis at dcurtis@regent.edu.

Step 2: Technical Training

Before beginning a teaching assignment at Regent University, all faculty are required to complete an online Blackboard Certification Course. To enroll in Blackboard you must have the necessary access codes and a Regent email address. Donna Curtis will request your codes and register you for the Blackboard course. Contact her at dcurtis@regent.edu.

Step 3: Contracts

Contracts are printed and mailed to the faculty member's address as listed on their application. Contracts are generally sent two weeks prior to the beginning of a class. You must sign the contract and return the original to the University.

Step 4: Employment Paperwork

Leteria Scott will send a packet to each new faculty member that includes all of the tax and payroll forms that must be completed. Contact information, an employment check list, and directions will be included in the packet.
