Undergraduate Commissioning Service & Reception:

Commissioning is a sacred service dedicated to worship, prayer, and anointing. Commissioning means "to grant authority", "to entrust", or "to appoint or assign a task or function". This special ceremony commissions our graduates to take their training into the world and make a difference for Christ.

Graduates are required to wear their gowns during the service, but not caps. (Gowns and caps are required for Commencement on Saturday.) Business casual is the attire for the service and should be worn under the gown. Graduates must check in at 5:00 p.m. The Commissioning Service begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Theatre of the Communication and Performing Arts Center, with the reception immediately following in the Library Atrium.

Regent University 2008 Commencement - Saturday, May 10, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Commencement is the traditional ceremony that Regent University holds with all the schools – graduate and undergraduate. One commencement ceremony is held every year at the end of the spring semester. This is a time for family and friends to join the graduate in celebrating their accomplishments.

Graduates line up behind the Administration building at 8:15 a.m. The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude once all graduates have been recognized and the recessional complete. Students should wear the cap and gown to this event.
