Deane is originally from South Ozone Pk., N.Y., and moved to Virginia in 2010. He earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2003. Subsequently, he moved to The United States Virgin Islands, where he served as a Police Detective and lay leader in The Solid Rock - Church of God. Sensing God's Call to ministry, Deane came to Regent University in the spring of 2010 to pursue a Master of Divinity Degree, which he attained in 2014. Deane worked in the department of Career Services while attending Regent, and was one of the first professional development coordinators. In 2015 Deane returned to Regent as the Career Services Assistant Director. "Helping people find God's purpose for them in the world of work", he says, "feels like ministry". His Career Services theme scripture is Jeremiah 29:11"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Every chance he gets, he makes the extra time to have meaningful conversations with students and staff to help them determine and realize their God given purpose.
