• Award renewals will occur automatically each year after the conclusion of the spring term for subsequent academic years.
• Typically, all scholarships and grants are awarded for only fall and spring semesters
• All scholarships and grants pay toward tuition only.
• Award consideration requires admission to Regent University's Undergraduate program.
• Awards decisions are determined by information gathered during the admissions process and may require additional documentation; applicants will receive confirmation requests from the Financial Aid Office.

Merit-based Scholarships

• Merit Scholarships are determined automatically and do not require a separate university award application
• There are varying levels of merit scholarships, each with their own unique titles
• Award decisions are determined using academic information gathered during the admissions process
• Decisions are based solely on a combination of high school GPAs, SAT/ACT test scores, and/or college GPAs at the time of admission.
• If updated scores and GPAs are received prior to May 1st, students may request a re-evaluation of their merit scholarship eligibility.

Need-based Grants

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) Scholarship

• An eligible student may receive an award up to $6,000 annually.
• An eligible student will have been inducted into PTK prior to RSU admission.
• An eligible student will meet a cumulative 3.5 GPA requirement determined at the time of RSU admission. GPAs will be calculated from a thorough review of all prior college work.
• Award renewals require a cumulative 3.0 GPA maintenance at Regent University.

Home Educators Association of Virginia (HEAV) Award

• An eligible student may receive an award up to $3,000 annually.
• An eligible student will be one of the following:
• An HEAV member
• A dependent child
  
  of an HEAV member
• A spouse of an HEAV member
• Award renewals require the maintenance of good academic standing as noted in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) Award

• An eligible student may receive an award up to $3,000 annually.
• An eligible student will be one of the following:

Family Award

• An eligible student may receive an award up to $3,000 annually.

Teen Mania Honor Academy Award

• An eligible student may receive an award up to $3,000 annually.
• An eligible student will be a graduate of the Honor Academy's Undergraduate or Graduate programs.
• Award renewals require the maintenance of good academic standing as noted in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Church Match Grant

• Regent University will match up to $750 of what a church gives to an eligible student.
• An eligible student's church will send the Church Match Form and the check to the Financial Aid Office at Regent University.

Military Service Award

Public Service Award

• An eligible student may receive an award up to $3,000 annually.
• An eligible student will be defined as one of the following:
  • A uniformed, full-time Police Officer
  • A uniformed, full-time Firefighter
  • A uniformed, full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
  • A uniformed, full-time Corrections Officer.
• An eligible student may also be retired from one of the above positions
  • Regent University views a minimum of 20 years of service for retirement status.
• Award renewals require the maintenance of good academic standing as noted in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Military Spouse/Dependent Child Award

• An eligible student may receive a 15% tuition reduction.
• An eligible student will receive a $200 bookstore credit per semester.
  • Credit is only available in Regent University's bookstore.
  • Unused credits will not rollover from one semester to the next.
• An eligible student will be the spouse or dependent child
