Teaching Philosophy

I teach at Regent University to help the students who can go make a difference to the troubled world based on the Christian faith and leadership with a widely open Global mind using Information Systems Technology.

Information for International Students


Dr. Choi worked for Broadxent, Inc., a subsidiary of Singaporean multinational company CREATIVE Technology Ltd. as a Principal Engineer, Indian software consulting firm Birlasoft, Inc. as a Senor Systems Analyst, COMPAQ Computer Corporation (currently, Hewlett-Packard) as a Development Manager in Silicon Valley, California.

He also has been teaching and researching at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, James Madison University, The University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas City Kansas Community College, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and Chonnam National University.

He is serving as an Associate Technical Editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine of the IEEE Communications Society since 2005 and has been working as an Editorial Board Member of the IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials and for many other international journals and conferences in computer networking and telecommunications fields.

He is a globetrotter and likes color pencil drawing during his leisure time. He has his own cyber gallery over the Internet. He enjoys international travels, essay writings, music listening, and international professional soccer league games analysis. He is writing poems using several languages such as Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, English, and Korean, and learning Latin.
