- Areas of Expertise or Research: Dr. Attanasi's research has focused on Pentecostal women's experiences of HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Drawing on her fieldwork, she employs feminist methodologies to suggest a prevention strategy that coheres with Pentecostal theology and better accounts for women's complex situations.

Biography
Dr. Attanasi earned her PhD from Vanderbilt University in Religion (Ethics and Society) and joined the Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry department of Regent's College of Arts & Sciences in 2009. She enjoys teaching Regent's diverse student population, and her travel in nearly two-dozen countries adds a global perspective to her courses.
