Pentecostal and Holiness History, Puritan History, Spiritual Formation
I teach at Regent University because I am called to equip Christians who are also able to equip other Christians. My personal mission statement is closely aligned with the Regent mission statement, in that it is focused on educating the Christian leader who can change the world. My teaching philosophy is to not indoctrinate with a one-right-doctrine, but to challenge my students to rethink why they believe what they believe, to see all sides of the tension of a particular doctrine, and to appreciate the width of the Christian faith. Additionally, teaching online enables me to connect with students around the globe, while I remain geographically in my present context.
