Our Undergraduate Leaders Forums provide a series of face-to-face presentations and dialogues between successful leaders and our undergraduate students. Recent forums have featured Admiral Vern Clark, USN (ret.), former Chief of Naval Operations, and Congresswoman Thelma Drake (R, VA). Speakers in the spring of 2008 will include Al Guerra, President of the Hampton Roads Spanish Chamber of Commerce, and Lowell Morse, successful businessman and member of the Regent University Board of Trustees. A third session will offer undergraduate students the opportunity to present summaries of their final research projects to the Regent community.

Mr. Morse joined the Army in 1957 after attending community college for two years. After his service years, he went on to graduate from college and establish a career. While in the service, he met and married his wife of 50 years. Mr. Morse has been a city manager, director of finance, and city planner. As well as being a real estate developer, venture capitalist, and bank founder, Mr. Morse has served as a member of the board of directors for many companies, both start ups and publicly held. He is now an independent land development consultant and venture investor. Mr. Morse is currently working with CBN and is responsible for the development of 500 acres of land that encompasses an area near CBN and Regent University in both cities of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.

Mr. Guerra was born in Havana, Cuba, and came to the USA at the age of ten, leaving behind his mother and brother. He was later reunited with his family in Boston, Massachusetts, where he attended public schools. Mr. Guerra attended The Franklin Institute of Boston and Northeastern University.
Mr. Guerra began pioneering work at Jefferson Labs as a Mechanical Engineer, designing and fabricating superconducting cryogenic equipment and systems. After his employment at Jefferson Labs, Mr. Guerra founded the Kelvin International Corporation (KIC), internationally known for cryogenic equipment (ultra low temperatures).
Mr. Guerra is the father of eight children, including two Hokies, two Monarchs, one VCU Ram and an Airborne Soldier. His activities in the community include:
