Health Insurance
• As of Summer 2009, the Regent Health insurance “Aetna” DID cover students while they were abroad. However, it is on a reimbursement basis. This means that students pay for costs up front and submit a claim to Aetna to be reimbursed.
• If you are not covered through the school’s insurance, contact your insurance provider and ask them if they cover international travel. Find out what the process is for that coverage in the even you need to be treated abroad.
• Ask your insurance provider for an international phone number that you may use if you need to contact the provider while in Europe.
