About Regent University
Regent has more than 5,000 students in nine academic schools, two campuses and distance education reaching around the globe. Students come from across the United States and abroad with the intent of advancing their careers in fields that vitally impact international culture and society—law, entrepreneurial business, communication and the arts, divinity, education, government, global leadership, and psychology and counseling.
Founded in 1978 by Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson, Regent University is dedicated to providing Christian Leadership to Change the World. The word “regent” means one who represents a king in his absence. For the students and faculty at Regent University, a regent is one who represents Christ, our Sovereign, in whatever sphere of life he or she may be called to serve Him. Students choose to study at Regent University in part because they are nurtured in their Christian faith in the classroom and in their legal practices.
