M.A. Applicants: Recommendation Instructions
Two recommendations, including one Faculty Recommendation and either a Clergy/Spiritual Life Recommendation (strongly preferred) or an Employer/Professional Associate Recommendation are required.
- Faculty Recommendation: Applicants are required to obtain a recommendation from one of their current or former university professors. Click here to send the online Faculty Recommendation form to your reference.
Only applicants who have been out of school for five or more years may substitute an Employer/Professional Associate Recommendation.
- Clergy/Spiritual Life Recommendation: Regent strongly encourages applicants to submit a Clergy/Spiritual Life Recommendation from a pastor, spiritual leader, or someone who can comment on the role of faith in the applicant's life. Click here to send the online Clergy/Spiritual Life Recommendation form to your reference.
If this is not possible, applicants may substitute an Employer/Professional Associate Recommendation.
- Employer/Professional Associate Recommendation: This form is only to be used in cases where Faculty or Clergy/Spiritual Life Recommendations are unobtainable. Click here to send the online Employer/Professional Associate Recommendation form to your reference.
Applicants should follow-up with recommenders to ensure that they have promptly submitted the requested document. Recommendations from family members are discouraged.
Recommenders may contact the Admissions Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 757.352.4917 for clarification or assistance.
