Ari Craig '08

Ari Craig had the chance to attend a number of law schools with excellent reputations. He found the prospect of a Regent University School of Law education compelling because the school offered a Christian perspective along with excellent academics.
What "sealed the deal” for Ari, however, was Regent’s extensive network within the Washington, D.C. political scene.
“This was important to me because I have always felt the call to be involved with politics,” he said. “I absolutely love being involved in the political process and I know that impacting the system requires upright and righteous men and women.”

During his second year of law school, Craig attended the NBLSA (National Black Law Student Association) Conference where he learned about the Navy JAG Corps. “I met with two Navy JAG Commanders and could not get the idea out of my head. It seemed like such a unique opportunity.”
After a long application, interview, and selection process Craig is proud to be one of approximately 800 U.S. Navy JAG lawyers in the world.
“I am sure that JAG is a necessary part of my journey into the national political scene,” he said. “I believe that my entire Regent experience was a crucial step towards achieving this honor.”
