Concept

Pre-law advisors, professors, career services directors and other university administrators are ideally positioned to have a positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of the students they advise. For this reason, representatives of Regent Law School will endeavor to provide advisors and mentors with the support they need to prepare students both spiritually and intellectually. Regent Law School is committed to providing a quality education for students who seek to become faithful lawyers for Christ. It will serve as the host for the 2008 conference.

The Program

The program is designed to encourage a healthy exchange of ideas, and advisors will participate in the discussion. Typical panels include law professors, pre-law advisors from a variety of Christian schools, and admissions professionals. We hope to provide tools and encouragement to advisors from a variety of perspectives by addressing such matters as pre-law mission, biblical integration, the nuts and bolts of the admissions process, and a picture of what law school is really like.

About the Conference

The Christian Pre-Law Conference of 2008 provides an opportunity for Christian advisors to gather together and reflect on how they might best train future lawyers for Christ.

Advisors will benefit from the experience of current pre-law advisors, law

faculty and law school staff, as together we examine how to effectively equip and encourage future Christian lawyers, regardless of which law school they choose to attend. Students will benefit from the opportunity to meet and connect with other Christian pre-law students from across the country.

Regent Law School desires to support Christian pre-law advisors who prepare students, spiritually and intellectually, to become faithful Christian lawyers. As more and more Americans reject morality and faith as the basis of right conduct, Christians must step up as cultural, religious, political and business leaders. We want to do everything we can to support pre-law advisors as they nurture the gifts and talents of individuals who will be bold lawyers for Christ. The schools recognize the nationwide need for lawyers who care about righteousness, justice and truth. We want to encourage those who train and advise pre-law students and law students at universities and law schools across the country.
